An Interior Design project is no small feat. It’s no small investment either. Everyone knows that home construction and renovation projects can be one of the most stressful events, not to mention the strain it puts on relationships. Drumroll please…and then I swoop in with my Super Woman cape and resolve it all! I wish it were that easy, but it’s a tightrope walk. While juggling about 40 different balls in the air. Sooner or later one of those balls might get backordered, or lost in shipping, or just might lead to what feels like Pandora’s box opening as you tear down walls only to find water damage and questionable electrical work with dreams of an entirely new floorplan for your existing home. Interior Design is problem solving at its best and just putting one foot in front of the other at its worst. Ashley Morgan Interiors upholds various design principles such as valuing natural light, the mix of antiques with newer and more modern pieces, and the use of color to create the “vibe” of a room. I’ve written about these things already so now I want to discuss our firm’s vision for how we get to that finish line with you actually enjoying that dream home and the road to get there. We prioritize treating your investment as if it were our own, maintaining consistent communication, and running every aspect of your project through a tried and true process.
The golden rule of “treat others as you wish to be treated” applies to business just as much as it did to your 3rd grade classroom. It’s not just how a client is treated to their face, but even more so how they’re treated behind the curtain. From a financial perspective, your home is often your largest tangible investment. So to be trusted with this and with the decisions in how that investment is being made isn’t something we take lightly. When making selections, we keep your budget and your investment strategy in mind. For some this means making larger investments in architectural components like millwork, trims, and showstopping custom flooring. While others might prefer investing in antique or custom furniture that can be passed down for generations. It’s all very personal and yet your priorities become our priorities as you trust us to guide you through this process of design with honesty and integrity in our pricing and selections.
With those 40 balls in the air, there’s a lot of communication going back and forth between all the stakeholders - you (our client) of course, our own team, contractors, sub-contractors and installers for each trade, furniture and product manufacturers and shipping companies. The moving parts and the way one decision affects 20 more decisions is uncanny. Which is why you hire a professional - one with foresight to see the impact of the decisions before they’re made, and even save you money from the impact of said decisions. Aside from the constant communication going on between all the parties involved, another priority for our firm is consistent communication with you, the client. Throughout the various stages of a project, there can be a lot of work going on that doesn’t involve the client directly and then there are weeks where we are talking to our clients on a daily basis to get feedback, answers to questions, scheduling meetings, etc. So we place value on our weekly update email. We want you to feel confident that your project is being managed well even when it’s all being handled “for” you, instead of “with” you. You’re busy with your daily responsibilities so it’s understandable that you don’t want to be bothered incessantly with details of the project. Our weekly update emails allow for the communication to be streamlined and kept at a high-level allowing you to live your life and us to complete your dream home.
Finally, what sets Ashley Morgan Interiors apart from the rest, outside of design aesthetic, is our process. To be honest, I personally nerd out over SOPs and processes, and every single aspect of our firm is run in this manner. Therefore, the actual design process…well, it has a process. Our Signature 7-Step Process breaks your design project into three different phases allowing you to easily know where we are along the path to your dream home. Our goal is that you would always know what to expect along the way without even having to ask what comes next. So from the moment we meet in a complimentary consultation, all the way through to the end, we provide you with the details of that process over and again so you’re never left wondering what’s going on behind the curtain.
Trust is the cornerstone of a great working relationship between a designer and client. We believe it can only be established when we fulfill your expectations of valuing your investment as if it were our own, maintaining consistent communication, and guiding you through our design process so you aren’t left in the dark…like in the middle of a renovation, literally wondering when the lights are going to be installed. If you’re ready to begin the journey to your dream home, we’re ready to talk it over. All you have to do is submit an inquiry through our website. We look forward to earning your trust!
